THE THREE OF CUPS

TODAY'S POST is The Three of cups. This version is from the unique new deck designed by Toni Allen, author of the book "The System of Symbols: A New Way to Look at Tarot."

For comparison, here's The Three of Cups in the Rider/Waite/Smith deck:

THE THREE OF CUPS: I was drawn to the Three of Cups in Toni Allen's deck because I'm a sucker for bright colors, especially in the pink/purple range. I also like how it perked up my attention, which I would say the Three of Cups asks of us.

As to The Three of Cups in general, I've again become acutely aware how "reframing" one's thinking in a more positive way can have profound effects on one's inner life, especially one's emotions. This principal always puts me in mind of this card in the Tarot.

DIFFERENT TAKES ON THE THREE OF CUPS:

Holding positive thoughts may improve your mood and/or concentration.

Whatever you hold in the cup of your mind effects what you feel.

Misery loves company.

Clinging to what clearly no longer works may cause more pain and trouble.

Modeling cheerful/positive behavior on someone else's. Depending on the situation and the model, this can be for good or for ill.

Brainstorm with a couple trusted others to find the solution.
